It's Christmas!

St Cecilia Chorus got in the Christmas mood with our concert of carols and festive readings last Saturday. We were
delighted to be joined by the excellent St Anne's Primary School Choir with selection of new Christmas songs composed and accompanied by Headteacher Chris Donovan

The retiring collection for the Diamond Riding Centre for Disabled Riders raised a fantastic £340.

Commissioned for the grand depart in Yorkshire of the 2014 Tour de  France, this collection of entertaining songs, some new, some arranged, celebrates all aspects of bicycles and cycling. This first performance outside Yorkshire will be accompanied by Alexander L'Estrange's own 'Call Me All' jazz quintet. Download a flyer.

We mark Bach's 330th birthday with a performance of two of his Cantatas in the wonderful acoustic of St Andrew's Church in CheamLaurie Ashworth (soprano) makes a very welcome return to sing the thrilling Cantata 51 with it's virtuouso trumpet part and the American Spirituals from Tippett's oratorio 'A Child of our Time' provide complete contrast.
